DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have re-signed wide receiver Raheem Harvey to the 2020 roster, Head Coach Ameer Ismail announced today.
Harvey (6-2, 205, Lewis-Clark Valley) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his third season with the team. Harvey first joined the Barnstormers in May of 2018, appearing in three regular season games and contributing to the Barnstormers' United Conference Championship and United Bowl Championship victories. Last season Harvey appeared in 11 total games, including a playoff game, collecting 11 receptions for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Collegiately, Harvey played at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas for two seasons before transferring to Lewis-Clark Valley in 2017. In one season with the Loggers, Harvey collected 48 receptions, 10 touchdowns, and two 2 point conversions.
"I expect Raheem to come in with a positive chip on his shoulder and something to prove," said Coach Ismail. "As a player he has been very productive with his limited opportunities and I look for him to play a bigger role this year. He's a great special team's player and a very willing and capable blocker which is a tremendous asset. He's a team player that I look forward to coaching."
