To take initiative in the community during the COVID-19 crisis, the Duke City Gladiators have been livestreaming on Facebook and Instagram three days a week for a series called 'Recess With the Duke City Gladiators' in which players spend 15-30 minutes going through stretches and exercises that children can do from the safety of their homes.
Gladiators players have also been volunteering with a local nonprofit group called New Mexico Aging Long Term Services, which helps feed the elderly that otherwise struggle to provide for themselves. The team has helped package over 1,500 boxes of food for the Albuquerque area.
Gladiators players are beginning an initiative called 'FaceTime With the Duke City Gladiators' in which twice a week, young local Gladiators fans can virtually connect with their favorite player and talk about anything sports or life-related.
The Gladiators remain dedicated to providing support to their community by doing their part to give back in any way that they can.
